ABOUT ME
My name is J Cody Hunt. By nature, a wandering nomad and a passionate creative, I am enthralled with exploring that side of humanity which accompanies each of us but often hides in the shadows. My expressivity and emotionality as an actor are byproducts of my hunger to milk as much from this human experience as possible.
I have worked around the country as a stage and film actor and fight choreographer for twelve years, and have my Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Northern Illinois University.
I am grateful that my amazing life partner/life manager/best friend, Elena, an artist herself, embraces this whirlwind of a lifestyle we share with our two beautiful children, Emerson and Ezra. Without the love and support of my family I would not be free to serve my artistry and seek the truth in my craft the way that I am able to now.

With a decade of experience as a fight choreographer and SAFD training in stage combat and weaponry, I bring detailed, intentional fight direction to every production. I value the ways physical storytelling deepens clarity and presence on stage.
As resident Fight Director at Northern Illinois University for three years, I have honed my abilities to choreograph compelling physicality in an educational environment as well.
